Just be here. Together.
No posing. No pressure. No trying to get it “right.”
Just you - as you are.
Maybe you think you’re awkward. Maybe you don’t know what to do in front of a camera.
You don’t need to know.
That’s my job.
I’m Pia Paatsonen, photographer behind Portraits in the Yukon -
and I’m not here to direct you into something you’re not, but to hold space for what’s already there.
I’m not here to make you perform. I’m here to notice.
The way you walk side by side. The way your hands find each other without thinking. The small glances. The quiet.
And in all of that - I find the moments that feel like magic.
Out here, in the Yukon, something shifts.
We go outside. We move. We take our time. No strict plan. No stiff moments.
I’ll guide you gently if you need it - but mostly, I’ll let you be.
And from that, I create something that is yours.
Unique. Artful. Honest.
And somewhere in between - you forget the camera.
You settle into yourselves. Into each other.
And I’m there, quietly, capturing it as it unfolds.
Not staged.
Not forced.
Not a version of you.
Just real.
If you’re traveling through the Yukon, or already here -
and you want photos that feel like your life, not like a photoshoot -
this is for you.
Come as you are.
